European Language Basics

You don’t have to fluent in foreign languages to travel, but it helps and it’s only polite to know a few of the basics….
- Western European language basics – (Covering France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Netherlands, Germany and Austria)
- Central and Eastern European language basics – (Covering Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary)
- Scandinavian language basics – (Covering Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland)

Recent Tips
Make sure you try currywurst in Germany. It's basically a hot dog with tomato sauce (ketchup) and curry powder. Tastes brilliant and only costs 1 or 2 Euro.
My tour guide Drew taught me to tip well at places like Moose & McGillicuddy's. The staff will be more attentive to your needs and pour you bigger drinks!!
Take 50€ and put it somewhere safe, your suitcase, your travel documents, wherever. This way you'll have it just in case.
